Ms. Sara Carrion is the Didactic Program Director at Texas A&M University-Kingsville and has been a Registered Dietitian (RD) since 1998.  She received her Master of Science in Nutrition from the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, TX where she also completed her Dietetic Internship.  Ms. Carrion's major nutrition interest lies in pediatrics and is a Board Certified Specialist in Pediatric Nutrition.  She is also a certified specialist in child and adolescent weight management and a certified lacatation counselor.  Ms. Carrion has worked at both the local and state level in pediatrics throughout most of her dietetic career.  Currently, she is working on her PhD in Public Health with a specialization in Community Health and Education.
